Jon Hathorn

Pastor & Head of Staff
As I child, I really wanted God to like me and I feared that I wasn't good enough for Him.  During  high school, I attended church camp. It was there that I realized I was sinner in need of God's grace. I prayed to God, admitting my sin, accepting His death on the cross for my sin, and asking Him to guide my life. I have lived here in Stockton all my life graduating from Delta and UOP, and eventually getting a Master's in Bible and Theology.  It was during a mission trip that I met Bev, who became my wife,  Our two daughters were born right here in Stockton.  I have served the Lord locally in a couple of churches and as a high school Bible Teacher.  I love encouraging other people, sharing the Word of God, watching sports, eating Mexican food and spaghetti, spending time with our family and going on walks with our grandkids. Philippians 1:6 is the prayer of my life and it says, "For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ."

Director of Children's Ministry
I was born and raised here in Stockton to a strong Christian family. I have 9 siblings and my parents modeled for us what it meant to truly live for God, so at the age of 4 I asked Jesus to come into my heart. From that time on I continued to grow in my knowledge and love for God. I graduated from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in 2017 with a BS in Business Marketing and an AA in Bible. I have always loved being around kids and seeing them love Jesus is one of the greatest joys in life. I love bike riding, baking delicious goodies, drinking coffee and spending time with friends and family! My favorite verse is 2 Corinthians 12:9 “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”

Music Director
When I was twelve years old I gave my life to Christ and haven’t looked back since. From that time on I have been studying and writing music steadily. In 2002, I received my Bachelor's Degree in Music from UC Berkeley followed by a Master's Degree in Media Writing and Production from the University of Miami in 2006. Over the years I have served in a variety of roles to include a music judge, talent coordinator, piano performer, music teacher, worship leader, and an orchestra and choir director for musicals, schools, an opera house, and of course, at church. I married my best friend, Teri, in January of 2016. We have two chihuahuas who we love probably more than we ought to ;) Aside from music, I have a few passions including fitness, sports (frisbee, football, and volleyball), working with youth, and nerding out with Christmas lights. Most people know me as a bit of a perfectionist – I either go big or go home in everything I do. I love Jesus and music. Putting the two together makes the best job ever!

Cheryl Pannabecker

Office Manager
I grew up in San Jose, CA, attending church regularly, but it wasn’t until high school that I began to feel God drawing me to Him through my church, and through other Christian friends. I said “Yes” to Jesus my junior year and have been walking with Him ever since. My husband Cameron and I have two children and six grandchildren. Working in a church office was something God put on my heart, and I started as an office volunteer for several years before becoming a paid staff member. I love my job and it seems to be a good fit. I enjoy playing & baking with my grandkids whenever I get the chance! My favorite verse is Psalm 46:10 "Be still & know that I am God".

Harry Ulep

Harry Ulep

Church Intern

When I was a senior in high school, I was invited to Lincoln to experience their youth program. Since then, I gave my life to Christ and discovered a passion to serve in the youth department. I am currently studying at Liberty University online pursuing a degree in Religion: Biblical and Theological Studies. After I receive my bachelor’s degree, I hope to continue my education in seminary and to become a youth pastor. I find great joy in spending time with students, building relationships with them, and assisting them with their personal walks with the Lord. Besides youth ministry, I also enjoy watching and playing sports, taking photos of beautiful scenery, meeting new people, and anything involving music. My favorite bible verse is 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.”
