The second verse of Romans tells us that God promised the Gospel to us:
“[The gospel of God] which He promised beforehand through His prophets” Romans 1:2.
Forgiveness, Redemption, and Grace…they were all promised from wayyy baaack whhhen.
When we trust in Jesus Christ, we are on board with a God who keeps His promises. Wow.
God has always kept His promises. He will keep the ones made to us about the future as well. Heaven and Hell are real places and real promises. I think this is why Paul was so passionate about proclaiming the gospel. He knew that God is a promise keeper.
