Missions

“And Jesus came and spoke to them saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

How would you like to go on a mission trip? It doesn’t matter where. You can join any team who is going out to serve right from your kitchen table. What? How can I do that, you ask? Pray. Yes, every team and every person who is about to go out to the mission field whether short term or for an extended period needs prayer support. So, whenever, you have your daily devotions, like right now- STOP- PRAY- for those people you know who are going out in the name of Jesus.

People who are able to actually go to a different place go and serve in all kinds of ways. They may have to learn a new language so they can connect with people in that country. They may do evangelism, discipleship, vacation Bible school, health care, construction, raise money for the support of those individuals who teach in schools, babysit children, restoration projects, do quilting, pack containers to send food around the world, you name it and volunteer or paid missionaries do it.

BUT, there is one thing they need that every one of us can do from our own kitchen table and that is everyday to PRAY specifically for people who are out there in Jesus’ name.

So, I invite you to pray for Team Kodiak. Fifteen people from different churches, different communities, will meet in Kodiak Alaska for about two weeks in September. We have a roof over our heads, we do all of our own cooking, laundry, etc. and everyday we work and serve the full-time missionaries who live there 365 days a year.

From construction to canning vegetables or working outside in the pouring rain rebuilding a fire escape, or building a mud room, erecting a greenhouse for their vegetables, replacing windows, doors, tiling a bathroom floor, or putting on a new roof, tending to goats, washing eggs, etc. We are standing in need of your prayers from your kitchen table.

You see, people all around the world who are able to go to the mission field need one thing from all of us back home… THAT IS FOR US TO PRAY!!! Thank you and we love you.
