I Surrender All

"Therefore I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-this is your spiritual act of worship". -Romans 12:1

Growing up, cleaning the house for a gathering or party was one of my least favorite chores to do. So often, instead of actually cleaning, it became a habit to store things in one designated area and call the task done. When it came time for the party, I would tell people to not go in that closet or room. It was easy, simple, and out of the way.

Sometimes we may do the same thing with God, allowing Him into our lives but keeping certain areas to ourselves. But our act of worship is to offer our whole bodies as a sacrifice to Him. What are some things we may be holding back from God during this season of life? How can we open these "doors" of our lives and freely give back to Him? May we turn to God, seeking Him more, and saying, "All to Jesus, I surrender all". To watch and listen to the song "I Surrender," press here.

When I was a senior in high school, I was invited to Lincoln to experience their youth program. Since then, I gave my life to Christ and discovered a passion to serve in the youth department. I am currently studying at Liberty University online pursuing a degree in Religion: Biblical and Theological Studies. After I receive my bachelor’s degree, I hope to continue my education in seminary and to become a youth pastor. I find great joy in spending time with students, building relationships with them, and assisting them with their personal walks with the Lord. Besides youth ministry, I also enjoy watching and playing sports, taking photos of beautiful scenery, meeting new people, and anything involving music. My favorite bible verse is 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.”
