I Know, I Know, I Know

by Lorna Zink on April 14, 2021

“May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.”  Psalm 19:14

The two words, “I know”, were repeated several times as part of the lyrics in the song “Ain’t No Sunshine When She’s Gone” which was one of the songs in the 1999 movie Notting Hill.  When I saw this and heard the song, for some reason, over the years they stuck with me in the back of my mind.

I was recently struggling with some thoughts that were full of temptation when those words, “I know”, came into my mind in a very sure and confident way.  I realized with relief that the “I Know” meant that I know that God’s way is the right way. This reassurance gave me happiness and peace.

I am so grateful for the years of church, Bible study, Bible Study Fellowship, Christian fellowship with friends, praying and being prayed for, and experiencing a clear sense of being loved by God. They are what has grown me to that point of strength and confidence to be able to say, “I know.” God, I know that Your ways are the right ways.

I hope you have the peace and joy of being able to say “I know” as you face your different experiences and many choices in life.
