All Are Welcome

by Lise Bachman-Karnes on August 27, 2021

“There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:28 (NIV)

I love the above verse because it is so all inclusive. Loving all people is very important to me and it is beautiful to see that this is God’s heart. We often see God use the unexpected, the outcast, the lonely. Often in Biblical times, women were treated as second-class citizens. Yet in the Bible, God often used women to do amazing works of God. We see that the Apostle Paul honors women, such as Lydia and he travelled with Aquila and Priscilla, a married couple. God does not place many of the limitations on others that we often do.

For example, at many times throughout history, women have been marginalized and their gifts have been neglected. As for me, I have learned a great deal from the women in this church, both by teaching and by Godly example. They are truly too numerous to mention, but I am so thankful for them. I hope I have contributed to the bettering of this church as well.

What are some of the ways that you might limit God because voices tell you that you aren’t good enough? God is a God who welcomes all people and can use all people within His Kingdom. Remember not to limit what God can do in and through you.
