“For you were straying like sheep, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.” 1 Peter 2.25
Yesterday I wrote emphasizing the importance of returning. Today I want to emphasize who we are returning to.
We have returned to Him who is our Shepherd—the one who guides us, protects us, and feeds us.
And to our “overseer,” our “bishop,” our Lord—the One who is our boss.
Perhaps if we stopped calling Him “Lord” and began calling Him “boss,” it would help us put our hands and feet where our mouth is.
