Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path. Proverbs 3:5-6
It’s difficult to put your trust in something that you cannot see. Do you see God? We put our trust in things unseen all the time… without question. When we board an airplane, we trust that there are well trained pilots on board. We generally do not see them… When we breathe, we trust there is oxygenated air to sustain us, yet we cannot see it. The list of things we put our trust in, but do not see, goes on…
I do see God though. I see Him everywhere, all the time. Don’t you? When I look in people’s faces, I see God. When I look at the variety of trees, flowers of every color and hue, the ocean, grass, the blue sky that continuously changes color and the clouds that come and go, ebb and flow… the mountains, rainbows, waterfalls, lakes, and rivers, I see God. When I look in a newborn baby’s face, and realize the intricacies of just how God knitted that baby together in its mother’s womb…the miracle of it… I see God.
It is easy to take for granted all the beauty, miracles and wonders of this physical world because it’s all we’ve ever known. They are familiar; thus, we forget just how miraculous they really are. We forget to appreciate what God has created for our pleasure and comfort and joy. We forget that we see Him, and we forget to trust Him.
God is all around us. God is in everything and holds everything together. I see God. I pray you do as well and that we can trust Him no matter what our eyes see or don’t see.
