As an ex-hippie (sometimes I suspect I’m not so “ex”), I pay a lot of attention to the peace and love verses.
I am always excited about the peace of Romans 5.1
"Since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God"
I have peace with God.
I embrace the peace of John 14.27 [Marcos Standard Version]
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. (Not what the hippies talked about.) Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid."
I know I can be untroubled and unafraid, because I have the peace of Jesus.
I seek to be ruled by the peace Colossians 3.15
"Let the peace of Christ rule in your heart."
I am tuned into my heart, listening to when Jesus is putting peace there, understanding that this is part of how He guides me.
And, finally, today I bless you with what Peter shares with me, the final nine words of his letter.
