Little Drops, Lsting Change

Galatians 6:9: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Luke 16:10: “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.”
A friend recently noticed small holes, evenly spaced in a line, dotting the concrete sidewalk by his church building. At first, he was puzzled, but then he looked up and saw the source: tiny driblets of water from the gutter had been falling in those same spots, slowly eroding the concrete. While standing under a few drops wouldn’t cause any harm, a constant drip over a long period gradually wears down even solid cement.
In the same way, small choices—seemingly harmless “drips” of sin—allowed to persist can erode our souls. But just as water can damage, it also has the power to refresh and nourish. Little drops of love, acts of kindness, and wise decisions leave a beautiful impact over time.
Here’s the point: Don’t overlook the power of small things done consistently. Daily habits like reading God’s Word, praying, attending church, and confessing our sins may seem minor, even trivial, on any given day. But over time, these seemingly small steps hold tremendous transformative power.
Often, we want the big, the miraculous, the instantaneous. But life with God can feel more like a slow, steady drip. Do the next right thing. Make wise choices daily, trusting that, over time, they’ll leave a lasting impact.
