“I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, and on Your wondrous works. Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, and I will declare Your greatness. They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness and shall sing of Your righteousness.” Psalm 145:5-7
I’ve had a song on repeat lately it is called “Evidence.” The bridge of the song says this:
“I see the cross, the empty grave
The evidence is endless
All my sin rolled away
Because of You, oh Jesus
I see the evidence of Your goodness
All over my life, all over my life.”
ev·i·dence | noun
- an outward sign: something that furnishes proof or one who bears witness.
I’m a proof person. Maybe it’s from growing up in a very competitive family and maybe it’s just the way God made me; but I want to see the proof of something before I believe in it. The Bible is full of the ways God has provided for and loved His people. It is the evidence for why we believe what we believe. My faith in God is strong because I’ve seen the evidence of Him working in my own life. I’ve seen God work in amazing ways and that’s all I need to have the confidence that He will come through for me the next time.
I encourage you to look back on your life today and thank God for the ways He has provided for you. The evidence of His goodness, all over your life.
