Chicken Nuggets Promises

by Jon Hathorn on July 08, 2024

“Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.”  Hebrews 10:23

When someone buys chicken nuggets, they almost always have the correct number of nuggets in their order. But many people count the number of nuggets to make sure they’re getting all they paid for. In other words, if a person places a six-piece order, this individual expects six nuggets; if he orders a twenty-piece nugget he expects twenty pieces of nuggets. That’s the way it works. A person should get what is ordered.

As a believer, do we find ourselves giving The Lord what he ordered. OUCH, did I really type that. It’s a great question, “Are we giving God what he ordered?” So, what did God order?

To be an imitator of God (Ephesians 5:1)
To be generous (Proverbs 11:25)
To be honest (Exodus 20:16)
To serve (Romans 12:10)

The most beautiful part of this word of encouragement is that God gives us what he says.

I will be with you (Matt 28:20)
I will never leave you. (Hebrews13:5)
He will give perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3)
He will give a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11)

Today, right now, why don’t you pause and thank God for the nuggets He gives.
