Its so easy to call out the sins in other people’s lives. We see where they are falling short, how they can do things better, and what areas of their lives they need to improve on. Yet, we often make the same mistakes, give in to the same temptations, and ignore the same sins in our own lives.
Having the ability to see our own shortcomings requires an amount of humility that no normal person possesses. This is why, we as believers must turn to God and ask Him to humble our hearts and remove hypocrisy from our lives.
It’s only after we humble ourselves before God can we possess the ability to show humility to those around us. It’s only after we recognize that we too are imperfect people, in need of a Savior, can we be a reflection of that very Savior to those around us.
Admitting we have a log in our own eye is difficult, BUT it’s necessary for the maturation and sanctification for those around us and for us too!
