“Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20 (NLT)
We often think of His command to “go and make disciples” as the focus of the Great Commission, and rightly so. But Jesus didn’t just send us out into the world with marching orders to go at it alone. A very key aspect of this passage is His promise to walk every step with us. “I am with you always.”
There’s something deeply comforting about that. Especially when the path ahead feels uncertain or dark. We’re not navigating life by our own light. Jesus is the presence that illuminates and goes with us. He is the Light that leads.
When you feel lost, remember that you are not alone.
When you feel stuck in the dark, ask God for His illuminating presence to light the way.
When He says “always,” He means always—in every place, in every trial, in every calling, on every journey, to the end of the age and beyond.
Don’t let fear hold you back or beat you up. The One who is the Light walks with you.
