No Other Like You O Lord

I’ve spent some recent time in India sharing the gospel.
Psalm 86 has always spoken to me, but here in New Delhi, its words feel even more profound.

Psalm 86:8a says: “There is none like you among the gods, O Lord.”
In a land here in India where our friends recognize 330 million gods, David’s declaration reminds us of a powerful truth: there is no one like Jesus, the one true God.
David then unveils a vision that points us toward the end of the story:
“All the nations you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord,
and shall glorify your name.”
(Psalm 86:9)

This isn’t just a far-off dream—it is the opening act to what John describes in

Revelation 7:9:
“I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number,
from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages,
standing before the throne and before the Lamb,
clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands.”

In this psalm, I see David’s quill reaching across time to unite with our own prayers today. His cry is my cry:
“Teach me your way, O Lord,
that I may walk in your truth;
unite my heart to fear your name.”
(Psalm 86:11)
I long to walk faithfully in His truth.
I yearn to revere only His name.
And how my heart eagerly awaits the day when all nations will come to worship Him!
There is no so-called god who is like our true God, Jesus Christ.
