As I child, I really wanted God to like me and I feared that I wasn’t good enough for Him. During high school, I attended church camp. It was there that I realized I was sinner in need of God’s grace. I prayed to God, admitting my sin, accepting His death on the cross for my sin, and asking Him to guide my life. I have lived here in Stockton all my life graduating from Delta and UOP, and eventually getting a Master’s in Bible and Theology.
It was during a mission trip that I met Bev, who became my wife, Our two daughters were born right here in Stockton. I have served the Lord locally in a couple of churches and as a high school Bible Teacher. I love encouraging other people, sharing the Word of God, watching sports, eating Mexican food and spaghetti, spending time with our family and going on walks with our grandkids.
Philippians 1:6 is the prayer of my life and it says, “For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ.

I was born and raised in Stockton, California, where I attended Colonial Heights Elementary, Lincoln High School, and Delta College. Though I grew up in the church as a pastor’s son, a difficult divorce deeply impacted my family, and by high school I had drifted far from God. After years of doing life on my own terms, I began seeking Jesus—and through a season of intense spiritual warfare, I encountered Him as a living Savior. He met me in my guilt and shame and set me free, revealing a grace and love I had never truly known. That awakening changed everything.
I went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Azusa Pacific University and a Master of Divinity from Biola University’s Talbot School of Theology, with an emphasis in Pastoral Ministry. I’ve served in pastoral ministry in both Southern and Central California, and now I’m grateful to be back in my hometown, serving as Assistant Pastor at Lincoln with a desire to help others experience the transforming power of Jesus.
I’m married to Alyssa, a UC Davis graduate and Registered Dietitian at Sutter Memorial Hospital in Modesto, and we have one daughter, Jane.

I was born in the state of Washington and moved to California at the age of five, and I’ve lived in Stockton ever since. I attended Brookside Elementary school for my K-12 education, graduated high school from Delta Middle College and am currently continuing my college studies at San Joaquin Delta College.
Growing up as the oldest of four, I naturally developed a love for guiding and supporting children. I’ve always found joy in helping kids grow—not just academically or spiritually, but also in how they treat others and carry themselves. Since February 2024, I’ve had the opportunity to put this passion into practice through serving in our children’s ministry as the assistant to the Director. Now, as the Interim Director of Children and Family Ministry, I feel honored to walk alongside parents in helping their children grow into kind, confident, Christ-centered individuals. I may not have all the answers, but I’m trusting God to lead me step by step.
In today’s world, kids are facing more pressures than ever- especially when it comes to living out their faith. My heart wants to help children grow in a strong, confident relationship with Jesus, without fear or shame. As interim Director of Children and Family Ministry, my goal is to continue to create a fun, Christ-centered environment that’s developmentally appropriate. I’m excited to see how God will work through this ministry and through me in this new season.

Hi there! I’m Josh, and youth ministry is my greatest passion. My heart beats with enthusiasm for students! I see them not just as potential leaders of the future, but as remarkable leaders of the present. Witnessing students conquer incredible trials of faith and navigate through deep valleys of pain and hardship is nothing short of awe-inspiring.
Outside of youth ministry, I love escaping to Disneyland, even if it’s just for a day, and enjoying a Dr. Pepper.
I have played soccer throughout my whole life and also enjoy collecting vinyl records and retro video games.
Ministry is a family affair for me – my two brothers and parents have all served in various roles.
If you can’t find me at church, you can probably find me at Chick-Fil-A!
Let’s embark on this exciting journey with Jesus together!

When I was twelve years old I gave my life to Christ and haven’t looked back since. From that time on I have been studying and writing music steadily.
In 2002, I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Music from UC Berkeley followed by a Master’s Degree in Media Writing and Production from the University of Miami in 2006.
Over the years I have served in a variety of roles to include a music judge, talent coordinator, piano performer, music teacher, worship leader, and an orchestra and choir director for musicals, schools, an opera house, and of course, at church.
I married my best friend, Teri, in January of 2016. We have a son named Titus and two chihuahuas.
Aside from music, I have a few passions including fitness, sports (frisbee, football, and volleyball), working with youth, and nerding out with Christmas lights. Most people know me as a bit of a perfectionist – I either go big or go home in everything I do. I love Jesus and music. Putting the two together makes the best job ever!
