God likes to play hide and seek. Not because He wants to stay hidden, but because He wants us to seek Him.
“[Christ,] in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” (Colossians 2:3)
If wisdom and knowledge are found in Christ, and you are far from Him, then spiritually speaking—you are cold. But if you draw near, if you press in, if you search for Him, you will find treasure beyond measure. God is not withholding; He is inviting.
Proverbs 25:2 says, “It is the glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of kings is to search things out.” God conceals not to frustrate us, but to call us into the joy of discovery. As a king and priest in His kingdom (Revelation 5:10), this is my privilege—to search the Scriptures, to lean in, to ask, to knock, to seek. And the promise? “He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6)
So, if you find yourself in a season where God seems just beyond reach, do not give up. Keep seeking, keep searching, keep knocking. He is not hiding to keep you away—He is drawing you closer.
