It seems like, in his very DNA, Moses had a deep intolerance for injustice.
We remember how he killed a man who was beating a Hebrew slave.
And again, when he arrived in Midian, we see that same fire rise up:
“Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters.
They came and drew water and filled the troughs to water their father’s flock.
Then the shepherds came and drove them away,
but Moses stood up and saved them,
and watered their flock.”
—Exodus 2:16–17
The One who later called to Moses from the burning bush—
“I Am Who I Am”—
likewise hates injustice and loves justice.
And because He loves justice,
“I Am Who I Am” also stood up.
He was nailed up.
He saved us.
And He opened the flow of living water for us all.
Justice has a name. And He stood up for you.
