Haikus to Help Us Listen

A haiku is a short poem, just three lines long, with a simple rhythm: five syllables, then seven, then five. But in that small space, something powerful can happen.

Poetry helps us slow down. It opens our ears to beauty and truth we might otherwise rush past. In the quiet of a poem, we are invited to listen for God’s voice, to see His presence in all things, and to remember who we are in Him. These haikus offer a few quiet moments to reflect, to breathe, and to reconnect with God.

The Holy Spirit
is living and active now.
Jesus welcomes us.

Love is our calling
even when it is painful.
God gives strength to love.

Food for the hungry,
shelter for the wandering soul,
hope and life for all.

Creation speaks loud.
The world declares God is good.
We are His image.

Hearts joined in worship,
singing with one voice in truth—
all eyes on Jesus.
