Yesterday morning, I attended our Tuesday morning Women’s Bible Study. I was surprised to walk in and find 20-25 women eagerly waiting for class to begin. It was a wonderful time of prayer and bible study. After 90 minutes, I left feeling refreshed and excited for next week’s class.
Building relationships with our brothers and sisters in Christ is a crucial part of our Christian walk. God created us to be in relationship with Him and with each other. Unfortunately, this doesn’t come naturally to us. I spent most my life desiring relationship, close friendships, wanting to be loved and accepted, yet I never felt worthy of any of those things. Even after coming to Christ, I struggled with building connections.
BUT I developed an instant love and passion for God’s Word AND God used this love and passion for His word to lead me to bible study classes. In these classes I found myself opening up, asking for prayer, and growing in relationship with God and others.
So, my question to you is…What do you love? What are you passionate about? How can God use that to draw you closer to Himself and to others? Maybe it’s joining a Bible study class, serving in Kids Ministry (wink, wink), playing basketball on Tuesday nights, or simply inviting someone to lunch after church this Sunday.
Whatever it is, if your trust is in Jesus, I know that it’s going to be amazing 🙂
