“No way I can do this,” Moses said in fear to the voice from the burning bush.
“Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?”
Exodus 3:11
Then came the words that settled everything:
“But I will be with you.”
Exodus 3:12
What more could a man ask for?
It carries my heart straight to the close of Matthew’s Gospel:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.”
And again, these words follow:
“And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:20
I ask for nothing more.
