Fully Known and Truly Loved

Sometimes we find it hard to receive appreciation, gratitude, or love from others because of a thought that lingers in the back of our minds: “If you really knew me, you wouldn’t love me.”

But God’s word urges us to believe that He knows us better than we know ourselves and still loves us completely. Scripture tells us that nothing can ever separate us from His love. Christ proved this through His actions definitively when while we were still sinners—rejecting, disbelieving, mocking—He gave His life for us.

Deep down, every heart longs for real love to enter in and bring healing, joy, and peace, yet so often we resist it because we do not feel worthy of it.

When I think about my own family, I realize how much this truth speaks to me. I love my two children, and nothing could ever change that. I love my spouse, and I always will. My love, though genuine, is still imperfect because I am imperfect. But God’s love has no limitations or imperfections.

Escaping the love of God is impossible. He knows every detail of your story and still delights in you as a person. He dances with delight and sings joyful songs at the thought of you. Take a moment to rest and find healing in the security of His love. Let His presence fill your heart and bring you peace and joy. His faithful friendship is a gift He longs for you to receive. His undeserved love and presence in our lives is the healing our souls need.
