“Then Peter got down out of the boat…” Matt. 14:29

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” -Matthew 5:16
I’ve been thinking about my Grandpa lately. He went home to be with the Lord a few years ago, but his impact on my life is still strong.
He was a devoted follower of Jesus. I watched Jesus transform him right before my eyes. When people ask me to share my testimony, I always talk about my Grandpa—because he was a part of it.
I thank God for him. I can only imagine how much it meant to him to see me surrender my life to Christ. Just as I had the joy of watching him be changed, he had the joy of seeing Christ change me.
Is there someone in your life who helped shape your walk with Jesus in a powerful and beautiful way? If so, thank God for them. But don’t stop there.
Ask God to use your life to help someone else grow in their faith.
You will not regret it.
That is what it means to live a life that shines.
