I personally love the rain. I love the sound and the smell of it. I love how fresh the air feels after a good rainfall.
But my favorite moment? When the sun begins to break through the clouds and a rainbow appears in the sky. Every time, it reminds me that God keeps His promises.
“I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth… Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.” (Genesis 9:13,16)
God does not forget His promises. He did not forget Noah, and He does not forget us. His faithfulness is as sure as the rain, as steady as the sun breaking through after the storm. No matter how dark the clouds get in life, His promises remain. And just like the rainbow, His grace shines brightest after the storm.
