Running on Empty His Energy

For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me.
Colossians 1:29

The ESV’s word “energy” sounds kind of new-agey to me. But knowing that Paul wasn’t really into crystals, chakras, or other new-age baloney, I looked it up.

In Greek, the word seems to be energeō. But what do I know? The only Greek vocabulary I possess is gyros.
New age, old Greek—whatever. He gives me strength. He is the one at work. I will serve.
Thy kingdom come!

Thank You, Jesus, for not just calling me to the work, but supplying the energy to do it. Your strength never runs dry, even when mine does.
