In May of this year, after my youngest grandson graduated from high School, I was privileged to attend a special event. This event was “The Blessing to Son” event in which my son and his son were taking part at their church. The father offers a blessing to his son, and then the son responds.
I was so impressed that I then wrote a blessing to my son and grandson. I have two older grandsons that I am now planning to write blessings for on their birthdays. When my granddaughter graduates from high school I will write a blessing to her also.
I encourage you to write blessings as the Holy Spirit leads you, for your sons, daughters, and grandchildren.
For the blessings, I am using Bible verses that have special meaning to me. We hear so many lies about ourselves in this world and it is easy to get discouraged. Let’s step into the lives of our loved ones around us with the blessing of God’s love and truth.
