Give Thanks to the Lord“Give thanks to the Lord, for His love endures forever.” — Psalm 136:1

As we gather around the table this Thanksgiving, it is good to pause and remember the true source of every blessing we enjoy. Of all the things we could give thanks for today — family, friends, food, — none of it would be possible without the goodness of God and His enduring love.

The psalmist reminds us that God’s love has never wavered. It has endured through every generation, through all our sin, our disobedience, and our wandering hearts. When we turned from Him, His mercy waited. When we doubted Him, His faithfulness remained. When we rejected His leading, His love still reached out to us.

Every good and perfect gift flows from His heart. He causes His goodness to fall on all people, and His love continues to sustain us even when we forget to thank Him. This Thanksgiving, let your gratitude go deeper than what is on your table. Thank God not just for what He gives, but for who He is — faithful, merciful, and unchanging in His love.

Prayer:
Lord, we give You thanks for every blessing in our lives, but most of all we thank You for Your steadfast love for us. Thank You for loving us when we least deserve it and for never giving up on us. May our gratitude today rise to You as a sweet offering of praise. Amen.
