When I think of light, especially spiritually at Christmas time…its white. The glow of candlelight or the pure white light radiating from an angel comes to my mind and sparks my imagination. And yet, the gift of Christmas is full of color just as the spectrum light is full of color and spans beyond our ability to see with our human eyes. Scientifically the properties of light are investigated and used in various ways and within the electromagnetic spectrum, visible light is merely a small portion.
When Jesus came into this world, he brought the full spectrum of light as God created light in the beginning, and it was good and beautiful! Genesis 1:3. There lies a magnificent mystery…as John tells us Jesus was also there in the beginning and very involved with God the Father creating all that is the realm of form and matter with life pulsing and light waves radiating throughout.
John 1:1-18 explains this aspect of Jesus to us quite nicely!!
