I had a chance to actually see the Mona Lisa painting. It was kind of cool to anticipate it, and yet it was kind of a let down because this “masterpieceā was so small. Here is a simple list of the positives:
It was by a famous painter.
It is in a famous museum.
It is really old.
and I saw it.
Here are some strange thoughts.
It is a small painting.
You have to wait in line for a pretty long time to be able to stand very close to it.
You and I are a masterpiece made by God. We have been knit together by him. He knows everything about us. He has numbered our days. We are a one of a kind. He has gifted us with special talents and gifts. He died for us. He loves us.
In stories and movies like, It’s A Wonderful Life, we understand no one can replace us and that we leave a certain mark on the world. Sometimes people learn to imitate the good things we do, and other times they see the things that turn out poorly and say, “I hope I never do that.” We help other people so much in life.
Would you just simply stop and appreciate the author of your life?
