While we were at church on Sunday, our dog managed to escape from the backyard. A couple neighbors attempted to lead him back in the yard, but he took off even further from our house.
We did what any family would do…We searched on foot, on bike, and in car…We posted his picture on missing pet websites and forums…We did all we could do. Then, our sweet, little seven-year-old reminded us we hadn’t prayed.
How often in our lives do we forget to pray? When push comes to shove, we often push back and shove harder; but we neglect to pause and pray.
Later that evening our dog returned home…We didn’t find him during our three hour search. We got no responses on our missing dog posts. We didn’t bring our dog home…God did!
