Seeking God through Curiosity

Proverbs 25:2 “It is the glory of God to conceal things”

Ever wonder and wanted an answer and just wanted to figure something out.  A magic Trick is tricky.  Finding puzzle pieces is trial and error.  Making a backyard fort is finding more things to make it cool.  And making up a story is using your imagination. Here’s an intriguing thought: as you and I get older (whatever that may mean), people often lose their curiosity about life. While this may not apply to you, it certainly resonates with many. Curiosity is a quality that requires cultivation and is sustained throughout your life. It’s often associated with childlike wonder and something to be embraced and even nurtured. It is fascinating and it can be seen in the eyes of child looking at a snow globe or a blinking light.

I recently came across a captivating book titled “How to Think Like Leonardo da Vinci” by Michael J. Gelb. It was an incredibly fascinating read that presented seven pivotal steps to enhance thinking and acting with clarity. The first step that caught my attention was called Curiosità. Being a difference maker involves various aspects, but one of them is an “innocent and relentless quest for answers.” This involves delving deeper into the mysteries surrounding us, constantly asking questions, and seeking answers. This very essence of lifelong learning embodies curiosity, and it’s the childlike wonder that many influencers display. Proverbs 25:2-3 speaks to this:

It is the glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of kings is to search things out. As the heavens for height, and the earth for depth, so the heart of kings is unsearchable.”

Let’s find out about God, what He’s really like.  Let’s search the scriptures, and pray.  Let’s be still and remember what He has done long ago and what He has done in our lives.  Let’s imagine what he can do, let’s ask Him questions.  Be curious about God, because curiosity often leads to answers.
